In case you still don’t know, I must say that I’m addicted to bookish challenges and I participate in every challenge I see. So here is the eternal post in which I show you all of them 😉
To be read pile challenge by Roof Beam Reader
Last year I couldn’t finish this challenge and this motivates me even more to participate and get it this year 😉 So here we go!
This is my list:
- The distant hours, by Kate Morton
- Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Brontë
- The name of the rose, by Umberco Eco
- A heart so white, by Javier Marías
- An echo in the bone, by Diana Gabaldon
- The land of painted caves, by Jean M. Auel
- Black Hills, by Nora Roberts
- Silent house, by Orhan Pamuk
- Century in scarlet, by Lajos Zilahy
- Isabel, la reina, by Ángeles de Irisarri
- Inés y la alegría, by Almudena Grandes
- El bolígrafo de gel verde, by Eloy Moreno
Alternates:
- Flowers in the rain and other stories, by Rosamunde Pilcher
- Ten little niggers, by Agatha Christie
TBR Pile Reading Challenge by Bookish
This is very similar to the previous challenge, but this time you don’t have to chose your books in advance, and there are different levels.
My goal is the first-kiss level: 21-30 books, why not?
Historical fiction reading challenge, by Historical Tapestry
I love historical fiction, and I expect to read several of them this year, so this challenge seems perfect for me.
There are also levels, and I’m applying for the Renaissance Reader, which means that I have to read at least 10 historical fiction novels.
2014 Chunkster challenge
I wasn’t familiarized with the word chunkster, but I knew its meaning as soon as I saw it 😀
I have several chunksters on my shelves and they deserve to be read. I will try to read at least 5 books with more than 700 pages; in the instructions you’ll see that books with more than 450 pages are considered chunksters, but I think that I will try my own challenge with really long books.
Literary exploration
Another challenge that wasn’t finished last year and I MUST try again.
There are levels, and mine is the insane challenge, with 36 different genres. How exciting!!
Other challenges hosted by Spanish blogs
This year I’m participating in three challenges which want to encourage readers to read more books written by women. I always try to read the same amount of books written for men and women, and I found these challenges very interesting.
I’m also participating, the same as the two previous years, in a challenge to read 25 authors whose mother language is Spanish; they can be Spanish or Latin American. I like this challenge because it promotes our authors, and this is always positive.
My own challenge
This year I’m also hosting a challenge for Spanish bloggers, and for myself, because I want to keep on reading books in English, as well as encouraging other people to do the same.
We have done a lot of activities last year related to this challenge, and we have discovered wonderful books, so I hope this year it will be very fun too!
********************
And that’s all, for the moment, because you never know when you can discover other challenges through the blogosphere 😉
Wish me luck!

The english challenges look really nice, but I have to study a lot this year, so I prefered to stay calm and not get crazy with the challenges.
¡Good luck Isi!

Thank you, Shanny!
I perfectly understand you; you’ll have very little time this year.

I never feel under pressure, to be honest: if I don’t get them it’s ok; the key is to have fun while you try it 😉
